Taptap Micro Finance

Barangay Taptap is the mountainous part of the City of Cebu. The common source of income is farming. Accessibility to lending investors is rare and few, because their perceptions is being afraid of debts and of high interest. As Daredemo Hero's approach is to let them be part of the solution. Out of the used clothing donations from Japan, we partnered women farmers in Barangay Taptap as our beneficiaries. Instead of giving them outright cash, we ask them to sell it in a minimal amount. Out from that "Ukay-ukay income, it serves  them as their capital seed money. Members can borrow it with a small interest of a three (3)percent  per month and should be return to the group treasurer, within one month duration. This project  is designed to help our small scale women farmers and their children to uplift their economic way of living, in our own initiative way.
